I originated my "Soft Sky Technique" 30 years ago. It will be taught in acrylic but it can be done
in watercolor in the same way. (2) My "Layering & Feathering Technique" will be used for the background and landscape. The reflective water is a 5 step application. It's easy to learn and lots of fun.

The background is a wet-on-wet approach combining my own "Dab & Pull Texture Technique"
with my "Controlled Spray & Flow Technique". The white egret is a study in the "Crosshatch Technique" accompanied by extreme contrast to
produce a 3-D effect. This incorporates the Principles of Design which will also be taught. The reflective water is a 4 step application that is quite easy to do as I have made it almost
foolproof so any artist can learn it. Plus, it's a lot of fun!

The background and horizontal shore are painted with a step-by-step "Overlapping & Texturing
Technique" followed up with some "Negative Painting" methods. The rocks are done with a "Glazing & Splatter Technique" followed with "Detailing The Shadow
& Edge Lines Technique". The water is done with my special "Wet-on-Wet Technique" followed with a "Glazing Method
For Reflective Shadows".
